Job Title: Junior Network Planner (12 Month Secondment)

Function: CIO

Location: London/Edinburgh

Salary: From £31800 (Edinburgh) & £36600 (London)

Closing Date: 28th February 2026

The Junior Network Planner will deliver great service to our customers, both internal and external and work closely with the Technical Network Integrator, Network Architecture Practice, and the Network Operations Team, including external suppliers across multiple technology domains.

What we need today

To make sure you’re set up for success you’ll already have these skills and experience:

Strong planning and organising skills with the ability to work independently and balance priorities

Microsoft office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint with strong analytical and technical delivery skills.

Good stakeholder and relationship management skills and experience of managing 3rd party suppliers and internal functions.

Good communication skills with a capacity to present, discuss and explain issues coherently

Experience of using negotiating and influencing skills to create positive outcomes

Clear decision-making ability with the facility to judge complex situations and assess when to and when not to escalate issues

Knowledge across network & security infrastructure including telephony preferred but not essential

What we need tomorrow

It takes more than experience to be successful in the role. With development and coaching from us, you will:

Support Run the Bank and Change the Bank Project Deliveries across multiple technologies

Ensure overall visibility and communications is managed well to de-risk any impact to running and maintaining the Banks Enterprise Network services

Liaise with various business areas as part of the larger project working groups

Be a point of contact between Networks and the rest of the organisation for project related matters

Interface with 3 rd Parties and Vendors to scope and define work packages

Support the Technical Network Integrator, with project delivery and Project Governance
