My client, a leading London media company is looking for a Management Accountant to act as no.2 to the Finance Director. A new role due to company growth, this position offers career development within a fantastic working environment.
Day to day duties:

Preparing monthly management accounts and information packs

Analysing budgets versus actuals detailing variances for stakeholders

Liaising with stakeholders to provide strategic advice
-
Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns
-
Weekly bank reconciliations and reconciling intercompany accounts
-
Posting accruals and prepayments for all companies
-
Cost analysis of service charge expenditure and monthly analysis of profit & loss codes

Assisting Finance Director with various duties as required

Overseeing all accounts payable and receivable functions
-
Update monthly cash flow forecast with actuals reconciling to net cash movement

Preparing group VAT returns to HMRC and dealing with all HMRC correspondence

Assisting with completion of annual external audit, internal audit and tax credit audits
Required skills:
-
Newly or part qualified accountant (CIMA or ACCA preferable)

Must have a meticulous attention to detail in a busy, can-do environment

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel and Sage
