Quality Engineer/Manual Tester – Insurance, Software, SaaS – Manchester
Salary: £30-45k
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading SaaS provider in the Insurance sector. Our client is looking for an experienced Quality Engineer/ Manual Tester to join their rapidly expanding team in Manchester.
You will be responsible for the quality assurance of software products and services, including manual testing, and the investigation and resolution of issues.
You will work closely with the software developers and other stakeholders to ensure that customer requirements are met, and that the software meets the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute manual tests of software products to identify defects and inconsistencies
- Evaluate and review software functionality, performance, and usability
- Investigate technical issues and provide solutions
- Monitor and track software performance
- Provide feedback to software developers and other stakeholders
- Ensure that customer requirements are met
- Report any issues with software or services
- Develop and maintain test plans and test cases
- Ensure that all software meets industry standards
- Perform regression testing
- Develop and maintain automated tests
- Liaise with customers and other stakeholders
Technical Skills Required
- Experienced in manual software testing
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle
- Knowledge of software debugging and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of automated testing tools
- Working knowledge of software quality assurance processes
- Experience in performance and usability testing
- Experience with scripting languages such as JavaScript and Python
- Proficient in SQL
- Working knowledge of web technologies
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Good attention to detail
