Ramp Agent/Baggage Handler

The Role

• Is a very physically demanding role; involving heavy lifting.
• This position involves working on the baggage belts, involves lifting loading and driving.
• Working on the belt, will entail loading baggage onto carts and scanning the bags as they come down the chutes.
• Your responsibility is to ensure that all bags are loaded correctly and quickly and scanned properly.

Main responsibilities

• Working on the Ramp, you will be loading bags onto the ramp and into the hold of the aircraft, roping off the engines, directing traffic,
• ensuring all doors are secured, attaching stairs, operate other ground machinery as required, and prepare for aircraft arrival and departure.
• Candidates must be physically fit and able to work in a physically demanding environment, as heavy lifting is involved.
• We will require a full driving licence for this particular role..
• You will be expected to carry out demanding tasks within a fast paced environment, working outdoors in all types of weather conditions.

Essential Experience And Skills

• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Full UK/UE Driving license- Minimum 2 years driving experience
• Safety driven with the ability to maintain a safe and secure working environment.
• Ability to achieve successful completion of (5 year employment/education history and Criminal Record Check)

Shifts - The position will include full time training. Shifts will involve working on a rolling roster over a period of 7days with shift examples of 7:30 am starts to other shifts finishing as late as 10 pm. Must be flexible
