The Cavalry & Guards Club is a Private Members Club that represents history, tradition, timeless elegance and quiet efficiency plus that all-important personal touch. This gracious building, which is more a home than an institution, is situated at the Hyde Park Corner end of Piccadilly, in the heart of Mayfair, with wonderful views of Green Park.
Responsibilities
- Delivering an effective wine and beverage service in the restaurant
- Full knowledge of the wine list in order to assist guest with their choices, being able to make appropriate recommendations where necessary
- To be aware of how each dish is prepared and the ingredients used, developing your knowledge as the menu changes.
- Provide charismatic, warm and engaging service with the aim to deliver a memorable experience for all our guests
- Guide and support junior members of the team during service to ensure necessary standards are being met and exceeded
- Ensure guests in your section always have necessary wine, water or other beverages throughout their experience
- Have a love for wines & spirits and passion for developing your knowledge further
- Have equal passion for food and hospitality
- WSET 3 or equivalent an advantage
- To be on duty on time and always be presented in a clean and smart manner, ensuring uniform is smartly dressed and shoes are polished.
- To attend and participate in any training and personal development schemes as recommended by your manager.
- To comply with all the company’s Health and Safety requirements.
- To show initiative and demonstrate a strong interest in the latest trends of the industry
