Job Specification-
Aquinas Education are in partnership with Secondary schools located in Acocks Green. The OFSTED rated ‘outstanding’ school are seeking to recruit a full time teaching assistant to support across all year groups. This role is an onsite job with benefits such a loyalty bonuses and flexibility.
The ideal candidate will:
Essential
- Hold a relevant teaching qualification or teaching assistant experience
- Have eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident.
- Have school based experience or transferable skills from different sectors eg. health and social care, sports coaching, psychology
- Two suitable references covering the last 2 years.
- Hold a current DBS that is registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
- Have experience of working with children with SEN needs such as Autism, SLD, PMLD, Behaviour needs and physical disabilities
Desirable
- Specific experience of working with children with SLD
- An engaging and nurturing character
- Ability to be resilient
- Willing undertake training and development
- Hold a Degree in childhood studies, psychology, education
